The work done here releases old wounds and hurts from personal relationships and provides œbeyond belief healing. Many participants experience dramatic life changes after attending a œNew Beginnings weekend.
The œNew Beginnings Process:
Each œNew Beginnings weekend retreat is limited to 10 participants. Each participant is requested to choose a particular person to work on for the weekend. This person could be a parent, sibling or significant other. Prior to the weekend, participants are asked to develop and share their list work with the facilitator. The purpose of the process is to reclaim an individual™s power from the person listed.
The group gathers on a Friday morning at a predetermined location, which has been selected for its atmosphere of tranquility and proximity to nature, God™s handiwork! Prior weekends have been conducted in such places as The Andirondack Mountains on historic Lake George in New York; a farm overlooking The Green Mountains of Vermont; a summer cottage on Rhode Island™s Block Island; and a beach home on the Atlantic ocean on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The ambiance of our Island Walk location in Naples, Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico allows for a serene view of a beautiful lake, walking paths for mediation abound, swimming, tennis, a fitness center and several small lakes to add to a spiritual rhythm. Participants operate in a œfamily way, sharing preparation of meals and clean up. Guidelines for the weekend are set forth during the introduction period at the weekend™s inception.
Once all participants have had the opportunity of confronting their listed person and heard feedback on their list work from the other participants, the healing work can begin. The weekend offers each participant the opportunity to function in a healthy way, in a safe environment, giving and taking feedback and learning safe parameters in leveling and loving confrontation.
Throughout the weekend, we are guided and led by hope and prayer.
At the conclusion of the list work on Saturday evening, we relax and share free time. On Sunday, with pain removed during the list work, we are open for a spiritual healing and a healing service is conducted.
As the weekend draws to a close, each participant experiences a œNew Beginning.
